Film Directing

Reece learned how to direct short films by studying for a BA in Practical Filmmaking at Met Film School. THE HOOD is a proof of concept (crime drama short film) Reece wrote, directed, produced, and edited in 2014. THE HOOD is Reece's debut short film and the most successful short film Reece has directed. THE HOOD has amassed over 2 million YouTube views on his own YouTube channel named "Reece Grant". Reece has been awarded the 2022 Prince Wiilliam BAFTA Bursary for his previous short films.

Music video directing

Reece is a self-taught music video director, he learned how to direct music videos from the age of 17, by experimenting with handheld shooting with his Canon 650d DSLR, and editing music videos for his friends. Reece has also directed two debut music videos for music artists, NOORA and SHXQ, he directed Noora's debut music video "Bleeding" and directed SHXQ'S debut music video "I remember", Reece also shot the narrative scenes and did the photography for the "I remember" music video.

Screenwriting

Reece learned how to write scripts from studying a BA in Practical Filmmaking at Met Film School and studying a fast track course at Raindance named "Fast track for writers, directors, and producers". Reece is proficient in using the script software Celtx, Scrivener, and Final Draft to write his scripts. THE HOOD is the most successful short film, Reece has written. Reece's TV scripts have caught the attention of the BFI, BAFTA, Curtis Brown Creative and multiple commissioners at Channel 4, BBC, SKY and his TV series has been optioned.

Editing

Video editing

Reece learned how to edit movies and narrative content, by studying for a BA in Practical Filmmaking at Met Film School in 2013. Reece has a decade of experience in video editing, he started out with using Final Cut Pro to edit music videos, then transitioned to Adobe Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve to edit short films, narrative content, music videos and ads. Reece has also worked as a freelance video editor at Mediorite and has edited several short films, THE HOOD is the most successful short film, Reece has edited.

 

​Photography

​

Reece learned photography from assisting his Uncle named Leighton Grant, his uncle taught him photography when he was 16, he really enjoyed photography so he decided to study A-Level Photography. Reece shoots with a Nikon D700 and edits his photos on Adobe Lightroom, he is also a big fan of black and white photography. Reece has also worked as a freelance photographer at Mediorite.

​Graphic Design

​

Reece studied A-level Graphics Communication at Christ the King Sixth-form. Reece has experience using Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) he creates the majority of his graphic designs on Adobe Photoshop. He has expereince creating logos, flyers, posters, and album/single covers.
